What is the LifeFlight Foundation?
The LifeFlight Foundation, a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization, provides fundraising and public relations support to LifeFlight of Maine. It is governed by an elected Board of Trustees, who represent medical, business, legal, and educational fields throughout the state. Supported by the many friends of LifeFlight, the Foundation raises funds for operations, new aircraft, hospital helipads, aviation improvements and many training outreach programs, including trauma and critical care, brain injury, ground safety, conferences and elementary school programs for injury prevention. Contributions may be unrestricted or designated for a particular purpose. Memorial gifts are accepted.
