A. Some septic systems will last a lifetime, some systems will last several years. It is very important that you have your septic tank pumped every two years. It is equally important to try spread out washdays, one or two loads per day, than six loads on Saturday. Try to wipe greasy pots and pans first with a paper towel before loading into dishwasher. Make sure you use septic safe paper products, and dont flush feminine products into the toilet.
