What is the life expectancy of a filter cartridge?
The life of a filter cartridge is very much dependent on the initial quality of the water that it will be filtering. Claims by some manufacturers of 3000 gallons, 5000 gallons, or even 15000 gallons of filtered water before the filter needs to be changed can be misleading. No one can claim a specific filter life without knowing the condition of the water that the cartridge will be filtering.
