What is the life expectancy for an Aesculight / Luxar laser system and laser tube?
Both Aesculight and Luxar laser systems can last indefinitely provided that the laser and its components are properly maintained (we recommend our service plans) and the laser tube is recharged approximately every 5 to 7 years.Both the Aesculight and Luxar laser tubes are comprised of all-metal rugged design with no moving parts. Typically, the life expectancy of a Luxar tube (before needing to be recharged) is 5 to 7 years and is defined by the slow leaking of air and humidity through rubber gaskets into the tube from the atmosphere.
