What is the Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Football?
This IFA Level One Award has now replaced the Junior Team Managers (JTM) Award, and qualifies you to coach children and young people (6 – 16) under the supervision of a more qualified football coach. The Junior Team Managers’ / Teachers’ Awards will continue to be valid until 5 years after completion. A Level One Coaching Award candidate must complete 21 guided learning hours with a tutor (this includes a certified IFA Child Protection course) and must also complete, or have completed, basic emergency first aid course. In addition to the above, each candidate must complete his / her log sheet with 6 hours’ coaching experience at their local club/school or at a CIS Licenced Mini-Soccer Centre Is it the right course for me?
