What is the lemon juice concentrate and lemon flavor used in the LÄRABAR Lemon Bar?
The lemon juice concentrate we use is made from pure lemon juice and lemon pulp, which is flash pasteurized to ensure that it is safe to consume. The lemon flavor we use is made from a cold press process during which the fruit skin yields pure essential oil. Why is LÄRABAR not organic? To produce the best product at an everyday value price, LÄRABAR is made with all natural ingredients. We’ll consider using organic ingredients at the point that suppliers can meet both our quality and volume standards consistently, which, to date, has not been possible. Does LÄRABAR have added vitamins, minerals or supplements? No. We believe the best way to obtain nutrients is from whole, unprocessed, raw food–the way nature created it. All vitamins and minerals in LÄRABAR are derived exclusively from the real food used in manufacturing. What about the protein in LÄRABAR? Each bar contains approximately 5 grams of protein.
