What is the legality of making a game under AGI?
I am quite sure that it is perfectly legal to create your own AGI games and distribute them as freeware, but on a few conditions. Firstly, we have not been given permission to distribute the AGI interpreter. I personally don’t see what’s really wrong with distributing the ones from the demo packs with our own games, but we just haven’t been given permission to do so. Secondly, Sierra didn’t seem to mind people distributing games created entirely by themselves, but they do not approve of people distributing games with their copyrighted material. This includes, graphics, sound etc. from their commercial games. So, you shouldn’t create and distribute your games if they include graphics, sounds or text from Sierra’s.
