The legal age at which you can purchase and consume alcoholic beverages in the Commonwealth of Virginia is 21. You can also be charged with a Class 1 misdemeanor if you knowingly allow operation of your motor vehicle by someone whose license has been revoked or suspended for an alcohol-related offense.
