Stalking occurs when someone repeatedly harasses you. The harassment must seriously alarm you. It must also be the type of behavior that would cause a “reasonable person” to be seriously alarmed. Some examples of stalking include: • repeatedly contacting you and threatening you • following you around without your consent • putting you under surveillance Stalking must be a pattern of behavior – someone make you feel alarmed more than once for it to qualify as stalking.
