What is the LEED certification and how do I obtain it?
LEED “Certification” is awarded to buildings. LEED “Accreditation” is awarded to individuals who demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of Green Building and the LEED Rating System(s). The LEED Accredited Professional (LEED –AP) exam is an exam offered only through the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). Our program is based on 3 main standards including LEED, Build-It Green and the State of California Green Building Code. Other standards are included when discussing specific topics. Students who successfully complete our program will have learned the basis of LEED, but will still need preparation to pass this specific exam.
