It is Hinduism undoubtedly. Most of the present day christians and moslems in India are converts from Hinduism due to the influence of missionaries pre and post the British rule and the Mughals who ruled India for several centuries. The invading portuguese also converted lot of Hindu families to Christianity either by force or coersion. Politically India Today is a multi religion country with equal opportunities to all religions as per the constitution of the biggest democratic system which is working very well with some problems or pinpricks every now and then.This is despite the fact that the minority religions are given lot of economic concessions due to political reasons.
