What is the LCM (lowest common multiple) and HCF (highest common factor) of numbers?

Lowest common multiple is the lowest number that two or more numbers both go into. Highest common factor is the highest number that goes into two or more numbers. The way I remember them is thinking that if its ‘Lowest’ .. common multiple, then it will be higher than (or equal to) the numbers given, and if its ‘Highest’ .. common factor it will be lower than (or equal to) the numbers given. Like opposites. Also if you thouroughly understand what they, and factors and multiples in general mean you can’t go wrong.
