What is the Lawyer Service Centre?
The Lawyer Service Centre is a new resource offered by Legal Aid Ontario to support lawyers using Legal Aid Online. Representatives provide help with: • Support accessing and using Legal Aid Online • Account requests and inquiries • Contact information and updates • Tier level change requests • Tariff and billing information • What will happen to eBilling? Once Legal Aid Online is fully rolled out across the province, eBilling will be eventually phased out. Will lawyers have to do duplicate entry if they have office management software? You should continue to use the office management software you currently use for your docket and office requirements. When using Legal Aid Online, lawyers will only have to enter a summary of their account in Legal Aid Online and will only be required to provide details if their account is randomly selected for post payment examination or for investigation purposes.
