What is the law or age for teens and talking or texting on their cell phones while driving?
A. In the State of Illinois, as of January 1st 2010, no one is allowed to compose any type of electronic message while driving. As far as talking on cell phones, it is prohibited for all drivers under the age of 19, except in the case of emergency where the driver is trying to reach the police station or any other emergency service.
