What is the law concerning parents who make false police reports on thier children?
Oddly enough, there is not a specific law to address this very specific issue. That act would simply fall under making a false police report. if the police can prove it was false 9and not simply wrong) charges can be filed. To explain the difference between a false report and being wrong a fictitious example: I look out my window and see what looks like a fight. To me it appears that they are really hurting each other. I call the police and make a report. The police investigate and determine that they are simply doing karate practice and no one was injured at all. I was wrong about the situation however I did not make a false police report since I did not intentional provide false information to the police.
