The current, stable version of Picasa for Linux is 2.7. If you are using Picasa 2.2, we recommend you upgrade to 2.7 to take advantage of the new features and bug fixes. In the future, we may offer a newer, beta version of Picasa for Linux. Beta versions have more features, but can be less stable. You will be able to find the beta releases on the Download page, as well as on the testing track in the Linux software repository.
