What is the latest information on improvements to CityRail services?
Mr JOHN WATKINS: I am pleased to kick off the new parliamentary year with some positive news about our rail system. Today we have evidence that train users are reporting better service under the new CityRail timetable. Mr SPEAKER: Order! The Minister will be heard in silence. Mr JOHN WATKINS: For the first time since the new timetable was introduced last September, an independent survey has verified what CityRail has been saying: reliability has substantially improved. In November last year the Independent Transport Safety and Reliability Regulator [ITSRR] randomly surveyed 1,006 commuters.
