What is the Lasix Program?
The ORC Lasix program regulates the use of Lasix by race horses In Ontario. The use of Lasix (Furosemide) by race horses must be declared as per Chapter 36 of the ORC Rules of Thoroughbred Racing and Chapter 29 of the ORC Rules of Standardbred Racing. The program directs how these declarations will be made and what provisions or sanctions are obligated as per the rules of racing.
