What is the largest (population) city in Montana?
According to Montana’s state government’s Census and Economic Information Center (see http://ceic.mt.gov/MtByNumb.asp ) the population of Billings (the city) was 103,994 as of the US census 2008 estimate (summer of 2008). The same estimate for Missoula was 68,202. The same source also shows estimates putting population growth for Montana at a slight decline between 2008 and 2010, but that’s less than 1%, so the likelihood of a change large enough to upset Billings’ advantage of more than 50% is vanishingly small.
