On a 700, you can get 2Gbytes, unless you have the SCSI patches that allow 3.7Gbytes. You can safely put any size disk on the system you want, but the OS will only allow you to access 2G (or 3.7G). (thanks to Mike Lampi, MDL , and Seth LaForge
