What is the large new building near the main gate?
A. The new building is the South Mesa Temporary Lodging Facility. The facility was built at a cost of $ 14.8 million and was opened June 1, 2009. The new environmentally friendly facility is constructed out of 20 percent recycled materials and received one of the U.S. Green Building Council’s highest energy efficiency ratings by saving more than 30 percent of water, lighting and overall utility usage.
