Transfering a part of the seawater via pipeline towards the Blue Lagoon site allows us to control the temperatures of the Blue Lagoon and keep temperatures at 37-39°C/98-102°F. New water is constantly led into the lagoon and the water is completely renewed in 40 hours. Regular samples from the lagoon show that the water is consistent with the Blue Flag’s standards and regulations for natural bathing areas.
