What is the Kudu FM philosophy?
The station has been around for just over ten years now. It’s a format driven by music with entertainment and news on top. I guess you could say the Kudu philosophy is: if you’ve got nothing to say that isn’t going to be better than the music then you shouldn’t speak. As time has marched on and as competition has increased we’ve had to do a bit of repositioning in the market. Namibia’s election is in November. How involved does Kudu FM get in politics? We don’t really. We don’t align ourselves with any particular political party or religion. Listener participation is key to any successful station. We try to be very neutral. We’ve also got certain statutory provisions in our communications bill, which prohibit us from taking advertising from political parties.
