What is The Knot Wedding Gift Registry?
If you’ve spent time on The Knot, you know our goal is to provide to-be-weds with the best information, advice, and services during every stage of the wedding planning process. For two years we’ve listened to thousands of couples describe the joys-and pains-of registering, from sore feet (from walking around a department store for 6 hours) to the smile on your face when you open your first gift. Surprisingly, we’ve found that couples frequently register for items they *think* they should register for, rather than what they really *want*. Why? Because the products they wanted couldn’t be found, or the stores weren’t near them, or somebody somewhere once said that registering is only about china and linens.
