What is the Kentucky Miniature Horse Breeders Club (KMHBC)?
The KMHBC is an organization of miniature horse breeders that was established to allow Kentucky breeders to participate in the Kentucky Breeders Incentive Fund. The KMHBC has representatives from the 4 Kentucky area miniature horse clubs (BMHC, MAMHC, IKI and Southern Kentucky) on its board of directors. The KMHBC is the liaison between the miniature breeder and the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission – the organization that manages and distributes the funds from the Kentucky Breeders Incentive Fund. You must be a member of the KMHBC to participate in the KBIF. In other words, you must be a member of the KMHBC to nominate the sire and dam of a horse that is conceived and foaled in Kentucky to receive any funds from the Kentucky Breeders Incentive Fund.
