What Is The Kashmir Peridot?
Around the middle of the 1990s, Peridot was the great phenomenon on the Gemstone Trade Fairs all around the world. In Pakistan there had been a sensationally rich find of the most superb Peridot on a rough mountainside. The extremely hard climatic conditions allowed mining only to go on through the summer months. The large and fine crystals and rocks were brought down into the valley and these stones were of a finer quality than anything that had ever been seen before. This occurrence proved so rich that the high demand for Peridot can be met without ay problems. In order to emphasize the outstanding quality of the Peridot from Pakistan the stones have been termed Kashmir Peridot. Creative gemstone cutters have created mesmerizing and striking stones of over 100 karats from some of the larger fine crystals in a deep and beautiful green.
