What is the Kandiyohi County Comprehensive Water Management Plan?
Kandiyohi County adopted the original Comprehensive Local Water Management Plan (CLWP) in December 1991. The first revision was completed by December 1995, and became effective January 1996, with an end date of December 31,2001. The second revision of the Water Plan was to be completed by December 31, 2000, and effective January 1, 2001, but Kandiyohi County requested, and was granted, a two-year extension from the Board of Water and Soil Resources. The extension was requested based on numerous watershed projects already underway. This third generation Water Plan will be for the time period of January 2003 through December 2012 (ten years). The third generation plan is organized and divided into six chapters. Chapter one is the introduction. Chapter two through four include the fifty-five data items required in the plan.
