What is the Junior National Honor Society?
The Junior National Honor Society is designed to honor the outstanding achievement of 8th graders. Students who have a cumulative average of 90 or better and are active in community service, scholarship, and learning are eligible to apply for membership. Meetings Meetings are held once every month. Officers meet at least 2 times a month. Activities The National Junior Honor Society has established a peer tutoring program for 7th graders. Members assist not only at risk students but those who need to make up work because of absences. Other activities include fundraising activities for various charities and offering their assistance at Parent Visitation Day. Induction ceremony The Junior National Honor Society Induction ceremony is held each Fall (October).
