What is the JSA?
The JSA, or Justice Society of America, was the first super-group in the DCU. Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and the original Green Lantern and Flash were the most memorable members, although the roster was flexible and much larger. After the Green Lantern and Flash revamps in the 50s, DC declared that the JSA lived on their own version of Earth, called Earth-1. They got their own versions of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and kept the original GL and Flash. They had many adventures, and frequently crossed realities to team up with the Justice League. Then came the Crisis on Infinite Earths. When the dust cleared, the JSA was on the one remaining reality, they had never had Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Robin and Huntress as members, but were otherwise unchanged.
