What is the Joshua Tree Experience?
The annual Joshua Tree Experience is a two-day fully catered event at Joshua Tree National Park where participants experience new outdoor activities, test products and services, and meet like-minded individuals while fundraising for at-risk and underprivileged youth in San Diego. During this fun-filled weekend, participants have a chance to rock climb, camp, hike and practice yoga all under the instruction of our field staff. After the weekend, participants come away with a greater appreciation of our programs and a firsthand experience of the healing power of the outdoors that is so impactful on our youth. In 2009, 80 participants raised over $70,000 to directly benefit Outdoor Outreach. Based on the fantastic response from last year, we have set our sights even higher and hope to raise $100,000!
