what is the job market like in carroll county, specifically veterinary services ie; grooming shops, food?
IF you need to work, Carroll County already has several veterinary services which are established and fairly close to Holiday Island. I’ve lived here since 1999 and been in the real estate business for three years. Minimum-wage jobs seasonaly are usually available. Several restaurants already here. A dog grooming shop was here a couple of years ago, but didn’t last long………………..one in Eureka Springs seems to be doing okay; been there for several years. Tom Dees, developer has several shops in the Island Shopping Center for rent. I was just told last night about the little Ice Cream Shop being up for sale (not building) because of the owner’s having to do “24-7” care for her brother…..and she wants to sell her little business; rents from Tom Dees. Also the Island Depot oil & lub (no building….just business) wants to retire (also has a car wash).
