What is the Job Location and Development Program (JLD)?
The JLD Program is part of the Federal Work-Study (FWS) Program. Its goal is to locate and develop off-campus jobs for currently enrolled students who want jobs, regardless of their financial need. The Program encourages students to participate in community service activities. A school is allowed to use part of the federal funds it receives under the FWS Program to establish or expand a JLD Program.
