What is the Japanese tea ceremony and do you have a good recipe for Chai?
Answer Hi, The Japanese Tea Ceremony is a very stylized and formal “ceremony” of making, serving, and drinking tea. It comes from Japan but is based on Chinese ideas and beliefs. My favorite Chai recipe is the following: Stash Premium Chai Spice tea (which you can buy at any grocery store) and following the brewing directions on the box, substituting half-and-half for milk. That’s what I use, but if you want to work harder (and who knows, it may come out better), there are many recipes on the internet, all varying to even great degrees. There is no “one” recipe, not even for tea/coffee houses. Good luck. James C.
