What is the Jack McClelland Writer-in-Residence program?
Each year the University appoints a Canadian writer to work with students, faculty and staff interested in creative writing. The term of the Jack McClelland Writer-in-Residence is January to April; he/she is housed at Massey College and holds office hours throughout the term for consultation with students, in addition to hosting a non-credit writing course. For further information contact The Department of English, 416-978-3190. There are other creative writing courses, such as ENG389Y1 (Creative Writing) or others at Innis, University, or Victoria Colleges; and opportunities at Hart House and the campus newspapers.
