What is the J-School press pass good for?
The school issues you a press pass, but this will NOT get you into Yankee games free or afford you VIP treatment at posh media events. Neither will it be honored by the police department when it comes to crossing barricades at crime scenes or disaster sites. Rather, it’s a means of identifying you as a Columbia student, indicating to the people you’re interviewing that you’re working on a story for the J-School.
