What is the IT Security Learning Centres mandate and scope of work?

Appendix “A” to the Government Security Policy (GSP) states that the Communications Security Establishment Canada is one of the “lead security departments” and describes one of CSEC’s responsibilities as being to: “…develop and provide specialized SIGINT and ITS training, especially with respect to COMSEC, network vulnerabilities and relevant technical safeguards”. The IT Security Learning Centre is guided in its choice of training and awareness products by an interdepartmental Advisory Council. The aim is to develop leading-edge, unbiased training aimed at Government of Canada employees, at a reasonable cost.
