What is the IRC server for, If we aren allowed to ask for hints about the challenges?
The IRC channel is for chatting between the members of HackQuest. You can of course ask general questions about Cryptography, JavaScript, and any other security related topic. You can also do what most people use it for…. chat about work, new games, how they admin their own box, or just sit around and laugh at new people asking for hints. If you ask a question, make sure you read the question guide under “Essays”. And be damn sure you used Google before asking it. And please include in your first line that you searched Google and what you entered there. And what you found already. Also, don’t be a stupid idiot and ask challenge specific questions. (like…. if I have a line that says: 10101010101010, what does that decrypt to?
