What is the IPTI?
The Integrated Patient Tracking Initiative, or IPTI, is a collaborative project that is working to improve emergency response and preparedness capabilities by providing recommendations for solutions that enable the locating and tracking of patients and victims as well as the collection of information about these patients and victims of emergencies both large and small. The Initiative brings together a diverse national group of over 70 organizations with the expertise to develop national consensus requirements, draft data standards, and create a toolkit for communities to use when launching their own patient tracking programs. It is an open process, driven by practitioners and educated by technology experts.
