Therefore the IP address you receive will be completely different each time you dial into the service. ISP’s like freeserve all use DHCP servers which will automatically give out a temporary IP address on a per session basis. Meaning your IP address will be released back into the IP address pool once the connection or web session is ended. Therefore the lease of the IP can be as short as minutes and as long as days, it has no fixed duration. **The IP address associated with each session will be given a lease duration that is defined by the server or systems administrator. **The IP address you will see if you examine your dial up network connection (DUN) properties is only the one you have right now.
