What is the Interrelated Special Education Add-on program about?
The Interrelated Special Education Add-on program prepares professional teacher leaders with advanced knowledge, skills and understanding of: Characteristics, procedures and instructional methods for students with disabilities Assessment, documentation, communication and modifications for students with disabilities Ethical services for students with disabilities from preschool to adulthood Collaborative structures serving students with disabilities The program uses a unique cross-categorical model which reflects the needs of teachers serving students with disabilities in P-12 educational settings. The program prepares teachers to meet the educational needs of students representing different categorical labels within an interrelated special education classroom and/or inclusive general education classroom settings.
