What is the internal chamber pressure around the wire rope?

Most wire ropes have deep valleys between the strands that make it mechanically impractical to seal around. Most grease applicator primarily use soft rubber seals that are squeezed tightly around the wire rope to achieve a seal. These soft rubber seals fall short of conforming to the helical contour of a wire rope. The rubber seals in most cases are not able to squeeze deep enough into the valleys to achieve an effective seal, especially on larger wire rope diameters. A number of companies have tested a range of high pressure grease applicators an reported a zero internal pressure reading. A high output pressure from the pump does not mean a high pressure around the wire rope. CoreLube Equipment has found that grease applicators including our own A-1600 System are good at applying thick external coatings. The CoreLube 850 & 950 Series as shown above, was designed exclusively for applying oils. A unique approach was achieved using air jets to create a seal. The air jet seal technology w
