What is the intent of the Indiana Academic Standards for Science?
The Indiana Academic Standards for Science are expectations for all students. They describe what students should know and be able to do with regards to science. They do not describe how this content should be taught, nor are they the science curriculum, although curriculum does need to be aligned with this document (when designing curriculum for their grade level(s), teachers should look at the standards for pervious grades, as well as the standards for grades to follow to ensure articulation and consistency).
