What is the instructors role in online courses?
The instructors role in online courses is to guide your learning. There are no lectures; rather through comments and questions, instructors help you develop ideas based on the principal readings within each unit. The instructor is charged with selecting course readings, designing the writing tasks, evaluating and providing feedback about writing assignments, and facilitating online discussions. The writing tasks will not be evaluated for grammar and punctuation, but instead, for the ideas that participants include. Assignments are not graded A through F; instead, participants will receive a grade of satisfactory or unsatisfactory on each assignment.
