What is the initial session like?
The initial session is a low-stress experience. My practice is located in a large office building on Ventura Blvd., with available valet parking and a pleasant professional environment. Upon arrival to the suite, you will wait for me in a private waiting room, where I will shortly receive you and provide you with background information forms to complete. Since I maintain a small practice, you will not have to interface with other personnel. Once you have completed the forms, I will guide you to the therapy room, which is a large open area with nice views of the Encino hillside (the suite is on the 10th floor). We will begin with a discussion of confidentiality and other office policies, and I will take as much time as necessary to try and answer all of your pressing questions. We will spend the remainder of the session discussing your concerns and relevant background information.
