A22: The DEQ intends to use the information it gathers through the AWR annual wastewater report for water pollution control purposes including the following: • Setting program priorities (inspections, compliance assistance, spill prevention, etc.). • Reviewing permit applications for NPDES and groundwater discharge permits. • Identifying and monitoring potential sources of discharge of critical materials to the waters of the state. • Guiding ambient monitoring programs to assess potential impacts from critical materials. • Resource allocation.
