What is the influenza vaccination coverage in the Hispanic population?
Although the most effective way to prevent both 2009 H1N1 and seasonal influenza and their complications is to be vaccinated, overall 2008-2009 seasonal influenza vaccination coverage was low across racial and ethnic groups (figure 3). Further, many Hispanics were less likely than non-Hispanic whites to receive influenza vaccination.13 Disparities in vaccination coverage are also evident this influenza season.
