What is the INF file used for?
When using the batch paradigm and sending a file via cbfxfr, the INF file is used to convey business application specific information and to override selected CFG file settings. The INF is always transferred to the business application as part of a batch send. The .INF file can be used to convey application specific information (example, Type of response, etc.) at any of the four processing points of the batch paradigm. The business application when acting as a service will save the received INF file and use it to direct the response. If an INF file is not provided when CommBridge is used as a requester, then one is generated automatically by cbfxfr.
