the industry standard is final cut studio but thats mac only but adobe after effects and adobe premiere are also industry standard and work awesome together when you see special effects in movies it was most likely done in after effects or motion (part of final cut studio) and remember if your going to be doing video editing make sure you have atleast 3 gigs of ram
