What is the inductance of a transformer?
In very simple terms it is a measure of the number of turns on the coil, the cross section and the permeability of the core. We normally talk about the inductance of a winding, usually the primary. The greater the inductance, the greater the ac resistance or the impedance of the winding. The impedance of an inductor increases proportionally to frequency.
