What is the incubation period of brucellosis?
After an animal is infected, there is a range of 2 weeks to a year incubation period. In certain instances the incubation period has been even longer. If the first sign of Brucellosis is abortion, the minimum incubation is 30 days. Some animals abort before they test positive to the diagnostic test. Some infected animals never abort. Usually, animals test positive to the diagnostic test 30 to 60 days after infection. However, some may not produce a positive result for several months to a year.
